As you know, my PA is always working, working, working. I thought I would show you some pictures of her office. Do you see a recurring theme in her decor? Do you see my Dad's picture on her computer?

OH! OH!
Pumpkin and Bailey got into trouble today. The little rascals figured out how to undo the latch on the pen. The gates are blocked from opening out, but they figured out how to get the door to open in and out they popped. Well, I shouldn't say they, because it was probably Pumpkin, since girls are much smarter than boys (or so they say). My PA got home from work and found them running around having a good time. They didn't do too much damage, just one lamp cord (the lamp wasn't plugged in) and some shoes and stuff scattered about. Guess they will have to go in their crates when no one is home.
What little devils!
County Fair
As you may have heard on my Dad's blog, I went to the County Fair last night with Pumpkin, Bailey, and Mystique. Mystique went to do an agility demo, the puppies went just for the fun of it, and I went so that some of the kids could experience a dog show and showing a dog in the ring. I think they all had fun. You can go to Darby's blog, www.darbysdaily.blogspot.com/, to see pictures of us at the Fair.
What was the Fair like--oink, oink, grunt grunt-- we were right next to the pigs. You could smell all the food cooking, fried this and fried that (of course, we didn't get any), and people, people, people. All in all, though, it was a lot of fun.

DAD'S BLOG IS GONE
Hi all,
Dad's blog is gone temporarily. It seems the blogosphere didn't like us both being on the the same email address, so everything about Dad showed up on my blog and me on his. Now, there are all kinds of technical difficulties trying to get a new blog up for Dad. So bear with my human for a while until she figures out all the glitches that are now occurring.

It's Raining, Raining, Raining
Well I said it was going to rain and I guess it is. It was raining so hard this morning, most of us didn't want to go out--but out we went. It was kind of like taking an early morning shower. Of course that means more work for my human since we came in all wet and dirty. It is supposed to rain all day and all night, so the mop will be staying out for a while :-).
Hey, I beat my dad to the blog today!!!!

Another Day, Another Milk Bone
Well it's back to the old grind for all of us. I have to stay out in the kennel with Sandie and all the other Cardigans (except for the oldest, Abbey, Glacier, and Fancy who have house privileges) until my human gets back from work. Sometimes it is a short stay, other times it is a long day because she has meetings and appointments. But at least I get to come in at night to play and sleep. I am one lucky guy because every time I have to go rest in my crate I get a Milk Bone (I think my human has stock in the Milk Bone company). It is supposed to, maybe, perhaps, could rain today. I think we need rain as I haven't had any mud to get dirty in for a long time.
Hope y'all have a nice day (I'm a southern boy just like my Dad, hee hee)

Keeping up With Dad
Okay, I see Daddy Rocco has posted. Now I have to do something. Right now my human is frustrated, because when she puts pictures in (following directions), they don't do what the blogmeister says they should do--like have the text wrap around the picture--. Unfortunately, she is not a HTML kind of person :-).
Today is Labor day, but I don't think I am going to labor. Of course, unlike Buddy, I never do any work though there has been some mumbling about rigging the vacuum hose to me and making me vacuum all the doggie hair rolling around.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Boy Am I in Trouble
In the Dog House (so to speak) |
Well, I just got a talking to from my Dad. He seems to think that if I start something I should finish it, or in the case of a blog, keep current. He just doesn't understand how busy I am chasing Sandie, and fun fighting with Zoe, and now I have to help train Bailey, and Pumpkin too until she leaves for California. And there's the chewing on bones and stuff. Now that he has a blog, he thinks I should keep up with him--boy oh boy, parents can be so bossy. Well I will try to do my best to keep up. Maybe I will have a contest with Dad to see who can post the most!

Ears Revisited
Thought everyone might want to see Zoe's Glamour Portrait. Don't you think she has the biggest ears ever?
I think she is so pretty.

Where does the time go?
Wow, just checked the date and it has been a while since I last posted. My human, as usual, has been very busy. Work, Work, Work. I've been to a couple more dog shows and made the cut in the herding group at one show. But more important--look what I have to play with! My Aunt Vickie had 8 babies on May 29th.
Aunt Vickie had 5 boys and three girls. Five are blue merles, and 2 are tri girls that look like their momma, and a black and white boy who looks like ME! They just turned 11 days old and soon their eyes will open and the maybe I can play with them.

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY
Hi all,
Well it has been one busy, busy, month. I have been helping kids learn how to read each week and made the front page of our local newspaper. Here I am with Solo, the Chow-Chow, listening to a scary Halloween story. I got to look at all the pictures too. Then I got to go on TV with Utah and Spike (Utah is a St. Bernard and he is really, really, big, while Spike is a Welsh Springer Spaniel) We were ambassadors for our upcoming dog show in Harrison, Arkansas.
But the most exciting thing is--ta dah, we went to Grove Oklahoma this past weekend and I am now--drum roll please---
CH. COEDWIG'S PLAY IT AGAIN SAM
I promise I won't let it go to my head. You can still call me Sammy, but remember to bow your head appropriately :-) . I don't have my championship picture yet, but will post when it arrives. This weekend, I will be competing in the Best of Breed ring with other Cardigan champions. I'll let you know how it goes.
That's all for now--

Guess Who?
Take a close look at this picture. Do you see someone who looks like me--no not my dad Rocco, on the other side-- Do you think it is me--nope. It is my dad's sister Breezy. I just noticed that I look an awful lot like her. Don't you agree? I know it's not me because Reba is in the picture and she went to the Rainbow Bridge 3 years ago. If you look hard you can see Abbey's face, and the butt end of Muffin, the Sheltie. My dad and Aunt Breezy were much younger in this picture.
Hope everyone is having a good Easter--don't eat those chocolate bunnies--they are not good for us. Too bad, they look awfully good.

TA DAH!!!
At my last show, I managed to win Best of Breed. I got to go in the Herding Group. Wow was that ring big and they made us go around a couple of times. I was the smallest dog in the ring--there was a German Shepard, two Collies, a Belgian Sheepdog (like my Aunt Eve), a Sheltie and a whole bunch of other dogs I didn't know. By the time the judge got to me, I was pooped. But anyway, my human was proud of me and I got a pretty gold and purple ribbon for being Best of Breed.

More Ears
Here is our Dad Rocco--that's where we get the big ears from! In the second picture, that is our Dad and Grandma Jolee---she has big ears too. So I guess those big ears are all in the family :-).

Nothing has Changed
Well it's been over a month since I wanted Spring, and nothing has changed. We just had another snow storm, the third in four weeks. My human is disgusted. She moved to Arkansas to get away from the annual 300 inches of snow in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and now it has been nothing but snow, snow, ice, snow, ice, snow, snow. Don't ask her opinion on global warming--!
We did make it to Pine Bluff for the dog show. I did really well on Saturday and took Best of Breed (I only got 1 point since half the Cardigans didn't show up). I went to the Herding Group and that took so long that I pooped out by the end. Sunday, I was Best of Opposite Sex, but no points since the other boy didn't show up. On to Columbia, Missouri next month. Probably will have three more blizzards before that.
Almost all the puppies have gone to their new homes, only Sandie and Blaze are still here. Sandie may be a show dog like me, and Blaze is waiting for the right home to come along. I am going to have to teach Sandie all of my tricks. Here is Sandie at 7 weeks, she will be 11 weeks old this Thursday.
This is Blaze, he is 9 weeks old in this picture--his 11 week birthday is this week too.
And I am going to be 1 year old next month! I guess I am not a puppy anymore--though it is said that Cardigans are puppies until they are almost two years old.
Well that's about it for now. Hope to check back with news of sunshine and warmer weather soon.

Enough is Enough
All right, I'm ready to move. It has been very, very, very cold here. Every day my human has to worry about getting to her office. The days have been long because she is in registration mode and leaves at 7:00 a.m. and doesn't get back until 5:00 p.m. That sure does make it a long day for me (and all the other furkids). On top of that, each day there have been threats of snow, sleet, ice--you name it, the weather person has threatened it. We live on top of small mountain and the driveway is steep and curvey so it has been hard for my human to get the car up--down is not too bad. Then the electric company is warning of power outages because of the extreme cold. It is going to get 5 below zero tomorrow night. Brrrrrr! My poor human has been working hard to make sure we are ready for no electricity--fireplace ready, check--water jugs filled, check---extra towels and blankets for the puppies, check--and on and on.
Where is Spring??????
Where is Spring??????

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Well we woke up to a chance of snow showers that are already over 2 inches deep! That's almost up to my belly. Boy is that cold. It doesn't look like it is going to get warmer any time soon. That makes more work for my poor human shoveling out the dog runs. Buddy and Darby are sure lucky being where it is warm.
I am going to stay inside, snuggle and keep warm.

Trying to Figure Out Blog Issues
While I have a few minutes, my human and I thought we would try to figure out why my New Years post got so jumbled up. Still don't know what the problem is and my human is getting frustrated. But not to waste a post, here are some pictures of Zoe and Vickie and their fasination with the puppy pen.
This is what Zoe does when she comes in the house. She just sits and stares at the puppies.

What happened??????
I don't know why but for some reason my beautifully laid out blog is all messed up. Must be the cyberspace gremlins. Sorry if it is hard to read.
New Years Eve
Hope everyone had a good New Years Eve. All my cardigan relatives got to come in again last night because it was New Years Eve and also because it was going to be really cold--brrrrrr. My human didn't want to have to go out to the kennel to let everyone out, it is easier just to open the back door out to the yard. Here's what everyone was doing last night.
