HAPPY NEW YEAR

Wishing all my siblings and their humans a very Happy New Year. Don't know if we are celebrating tonight--probably not--early to bed, early to rise because we cardigans like to get our humans up really early--like 4 a.m.!

This is what the puppies will be doing-----eating, sleeping, and pooping, and now barking. Maybe I will get to play with them again today. That was fun.
See you next year!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to my sister Darby and brother Buddy and all their humans.
Because it was Christmas Eve, my human let all the cardigans come in for the night, so we had 11 cardigans plus 8 puppies together for Christmas Eve. Everyone got to stay in all night. Here's what the bed looked like. Everyone is there except for Mystique and Zoe (they were playing in the living room), Susie Q (she was with her puppies) and me (I am not old enough to sleep on the bed all night).

This morning we got a Christmas treat in our food bowls---ground beef! Boy was that good.

It is a cold and blustery day. We had some snow last night--the first I have ever seen. Don't know what to make of it, all the good smells are gone and it is cold on my feet. So I guess we will all tuck ourselves in for the day and stay warm and dry. Everyone have a happy New Year.

Deja Vu

Susie's puppies had their first non-mom meal. Boy did that take me back in time. Check out the pictures of the feeding frenzy!
First feeding frenzy. Don' they look like a bunch of sharks?
Hey, move over!
FOOD FIGHT!!!!!

MOM IS STILL BEST!!!!!!

Glamour Shot

When we were in Springfield, Missouri for a dog show, my human decided to have some glamour shots taken of me. What do you think?

I think I look good in blue.

Where Have I Been?

I was just wandering around the Internet, when I realized that I have been remiss in posting to my blog--shame, shame on me.
I have been to a few dog shows since my debut, but didn't do as well as my first show. I won't have another one until February because my human had to stay home and take care of Aunt Susie Q who had a litter of baby cardigans Thanksgiving day. There are eight of them! I can't wait till they grow up some so I can play with them. Here are some pictures. What do you think? Cute aren't they.
Here is Aunt Susie with her babies.
This is blue girl 1
This is blue girl 2
This is Black/White Boy 1
Black/White Boy 2
and Black/Boy 3 This is Dexter
This is Jenny
and this is Meydele
Dexter, Jenny, and Meydel already have homes. Isn't that great.
Well I guess I'll go and take a nap now.

There're Here!!!

The pictures have finally arrived. I look a little snarly in the first one. Had my lip curled trying to look ferocious--Do I look ferocious?
In the second win picture, I decided to go with the aloof, regally royal look--What do think, did I do it?
I guess you could say "I've come a long way BABY!!!"

No Pictures Yet

My human is still waiting for my show pictures. She is hoping that they look nice because if they do, I will get my own page on the Coedwig Website. That is really exciting cause I am so young and I will be there with all the greats like my Grandpa Carbon, my Aunt Maya, and of course my Dad, Rocco. Hurry pictures!

What's all the Fuss

I certainly can't figure it out, but my human was walking around all weekend with a big smile on her face, people were petting me and saying good boy, and some guy took pictures of me. I think I heard someone say Winners Dog and Best of Winners all weekend and they pointed at me! All I did was walk around in the wet grass and look up at some guy/gal (judges, I think) and give them my big eared, goofy look. Anyway, Daddy Rocco told me when I got home---I earned 9 points of my championship this weekend (have to have 15) and walked away with two 4 point majors. So everyone is really proud of me since I was the youngest Cardigan in the ring. I guess those pictures are of me with my ribbons. So when they arrive, I will try and get them up for all you guys to see. All I know is I had a lot of fun!

Okay, Okay, My Human is Busy

Hi,
No new picutures of me as my human has been sooooo busy with the start up of classes, training me in obedience, caring for my cardigan relatives, and so forth and so forth. She is so busy she doesn't even know what day of the week it is--If it's Business Ethics it must be Monday [he, he :-)]. But here is a picture of Dad and Grandma Jolee visiting a local elementary school.
Buddy and Darby you are looking really good and I am enjoying your blogs. I will be going to a dog show this weekend and this will be my first time in the ring. I plan on being really silly and cute, since I can still get away with it. I will let you know what happens when we get back. I will get to play with my cousin Zoey as she and I are the only cardigans going.
We had a real scare here as my Aunt Patti's Samoyed Tonka got sick with the bloat and almost died. If my human hadn't decided to go back and put him in the big kennel before leaving for work, he would not have made it. He is all better now, but he was really sick for almost a week.
So Darby and Buddy be sure to eat slowly and don't drink big gulps of water.

Here I Am

Bet you all thought I was lost--well I'm back. I have been following Buddy and Darby's blog and hey, you both are lookin' good! My human has been busy with some kind of training at school, so the days have been eat, poop, sleep and then start all over again. She does let me play with Zoe in the evenings so I can get all my pent up energy out. We run all around the house and slide into chairs and doors and just have a great time. The other day I got bit by some bug and my face swelled up like a balloon--fortunately I am back to normal but my human was really worried (no she didn't take a picture). Just imagine a soccer ball with 2 eyes and ears--that was me. Well I better get back in my pen so my human can get to her workshop.

To the Rescue

Early this morning--it was still dark--I was called upon to rescue one of the toads. The big dogs were out on the patio playing and Mr. Toad was right in the middle of their rocking and rolling all over the concrete. I had to dash in between thrashing legs and rolling Belgians and Samoyeds. I grabbed the toad and took him off to safe place on the rocks. But wouldn't you know it--within five minutes the stupid toad was back on the concrete looking to get squashed!

I'm Back Again

Well it has been a busy time since we got back from the dog show. Once again, I made everyone smile and met more doggie friends. I am starting to like this dog show thing.
I see Buddy and Darby are looking good. My ears are pretty much up all the time time, except when I am really tired. I saw that Buddy is a big game hunter--we don't have much big game here, but there are a couple of toads hanging around. Here are pictures of the two smaller ones, haven't seen the big, humongous one in a couple of days.
They don't look too mean, but they can get us all riled up when they start hopping away. I haven't had an encounter with the big one but I'll be ready for him if he shows up!
Well no dog shows for a while; it is too hot, plus my human has to finish all the outside chores before going back to work this fall. Only one and half doggie yards to go--then its clean and paint the human house.
Hope you all are having fun so far this summer.

I'm Off Again

It has been really busy around here. My human is still trying to clean up from the ice storm. She has two yards done, three to go. Here are some pictures so you can see all the damage she is cleaning up. Wish she would leave some of the big sticks!
And now it is getting really hot here.
Well I am off to another dog show. More oohing and aahing--can't wait. Hope everyone thinks I am still as cute as I was two weeks ago. No new pictures, but ear update--one ear is definitely on its own, the other is up, then down, then up, then down. I guess I have to go back into tape after my show bath/nail trim tonight. Yuk.
Hope you all have a good weekend. Till then--take care

I'M BACK!

Wow, what a weekend. I was busy being a great ambassador for all of us cardigans. Everyone wanted to pet and hold me. I got to meet all kinds of dogs, big and little. A couple of people threatened to take me home--but I stayed with my humans and came back. The motel room was fun--I got to stay on the bed with Zoe and Vickie until bed time and lots of trips out to the grass. When we got back my human's hard drive (whatever that is) took a nose dive so no blogging till today. Hope everyone had as good a weekend as I did.

Dog Show!

I am going to a dog show this weekend! Yipee! I am to0 young to go in the ring, but I will be able to be around all the other dogs and walk around the show site, learn how to be polite, get lots of petting, oohing and aahing, and all that stuff. The best part is I get to stay in the motel room with Zoe and Vickie, Eve, Snow and Star. They told me that's the best part of dog shows.
Here is my dad, when he was two years old, in the herding group ring with my human. Look how still he is standing--I don't know if I can do that--I like to wiggle my butt!!!!

The Ear Question

I have had some requests to discuss the "ear" situation, so I thought I would do it in pictures.
Here I am two weeks ago--gee whiz how embarrassing.
But to be a "true cardigan", those big ears of mine have to be up like my Dad Rocco's.
Here I am two weeks later, one up--one down. Does that mean another two weeks of tape?
Maybe if I lie on my back all the time my human will think my ears are UP! What do you think?

Rain, Rain, Go AWAY!

It has been raining since Saturday afternoon. My humans are really upset with it--there are worms, worms, everywhere. I like worms. I don't know why the humans think they are bad. They make a tasty snack. The rain doesn't bother me any--I like being wet and dirty. Plus I can roll Peanut and get her all dirty too!

WHERE IS MY HUMAN?

Well it has been pretty boring the last two days. My human hasn't paid enough attention to me (which should be 24/7/365) She is outside working, trying to clean up the yards from all the ice storm damage this year. So what, I like eating all those sticks. I'm boreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!

CORGI--NOT!

We have a new furkid in the house. My humans think she is about 8 weeks old and she only weighs about 2 pounds. She was found by a dumpster at one of the local restaurants. Being the softies that they are, my humans let her come live with us.
I immediately let her know who is boss.
But I don't think it worked.
Oh well, I guess she can be an honorary corgi.

Rest in Peace Holly

Today is a very sad day. I just found out that my sister Holly was in an accident and has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. She was so pretty and so smart and I know her human is devastated. I know she will be watching down on me and Darby and Buddy.
I miss you Holly.

Mom and Dad

I thought you might like to meet my mom and dad.
This is my mom Flirt, aka Ch. Coedwig's Temptation. She is brindle and white like my sister Darby. She was a really good mom, but now she has gone home to her human mom in Illinois. I miss her a little, but with so many cardigan cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents to play with, it's not too bad.
This is my dad Rocco. He has a really long offical name with lots of letters before and after. Let's see if I remember them all--Am/Int'l Ch. Coedwig Roc Around the Clock, CD, RA, CGC/TDI--whew, that's a lot to remember. I don't hang with him much yet, as he is a lot bigger than I am. He is my human mom's constant companion. She calls him her velcro dog--isn't that a hoot!
My grandmother lives here too. Her name is Jolee aka Ch. Coedwig Paradiddle Bon Jolee. I haven't met her yet as she stays upstairs and I live downstairs right now. Isn't she pretty.

Well with all those champions in my background, I better work hard to be one too.

Petco-Schmetco

Well, would you believe it. My human dragged me to some store called Petco. Said I had to meet people and learn to walk on a leash. I put a quick stop to that. I just sat down and wailed and whined and everyone kept saying "poor puppy, poor puppy". Boy did I have them all fooled. I can walk on a leash when I want to--that's the key--when I want to!! But I did get a really good cookie, so maybe going to Petco ain't so bad.

Here's a picture of me getting into trouble.

That should be my middle name.

Darby made me do it!

I have been reading my sister's blog each day and decided I have to have one too! Darby lives in California with a very nice family that loves her a lot. I hope she will stop by my blog sometime to see what I am up to.
Here I am with my siblings before they went off to their new homes. Far left is Darby, then Buddy who lives in California too, and Holly who lives in Oklahoma, and the me--I'm the really good looking one right?
Well I have to go now to help celebrate Mother's Day. You all take care now.
